“Summer hymn. Growing season. Holiday, songbirds, nightless night. Yard, dandelion, trampolin, grill, sausage, flies. Cottage, dock, boat, swim suit. Strawberry, pea, crime novel. Grandma’s, cousins. Sunscreen, air mattress, tanning lines. Festival, tent, outhouse, campfire. Summer hit and summer car. Cooler, summer widow. Beer. Summer night’s dream, flirting, condom. Wedding. Midsummer dance, bonfire, lake. Midsummer magic, field, butterflies, clover, cow. Birdhouse, hammock, bilberry, bee, cloud. Lawnmower, vegetable garden, summer job. Confirmation camp, new potatoes, heat. Dress, bikini, shorts, flip-flops. Carpet-pier, sea, seagull. Ball, floaters, shadow, rock. Ice cream. Pool. Sun, shades, terrace. Market square. Amusement park. Sauna, bucket, water dipper, scoop. Rag rug, rain, attic. Frog, worm, fishing rod, float, perch. Sport competition. Blue.
Rain. Wind. Rubber boots, lizard and snake. Bicycle, gravel road, scratch. Back seat, sweat, wunderbaum, roadworks. Baseball cap and sleeveless shirt. Beer, beer, beer. Alcohol, drunkenness and mosquitoes. Horsefly. Deer ked. Fracture. Bandaid, plaster, popsicle, cotton candy. Burn, sausage. Hey. Fever. Weed and bug spray. Death. Drowned. Ants.

Finnish summer is full of hopes and expectations. It’s a dream that helps with getting trough the long winter.”
